Names?

Did anyone else know that 'peregrination' means to travel a lot? Maybe thats where Tolkien got Peregrine from. cos you know Pippin travelled a lot.

Does anyone else know about the idea behind the names for the characters? Obviouslt the Elves were names after their language Legolas = lasse - leaf, I guess Lego must be green.

OK, thanks, I'll go look there. I just thought there might be a couple of leading sites that have ALL info relating to LOTR on.

This site (http://www.glyphweb.com/arda/default.htm) has meanings of names when you go to their entry, aswell as a heap of other information.
