Wedge's up, hope I spelt his name right. Is that a vote-change needed then?

I kinda didn't put Wedge up on purpose - it's not like he really does much in the films - maybe in the other Star Wars stuff, but not the movies - and that's the point of the poll.

*shrugs* Take him down, then? Sorry, used to putting up whatever people want in polls. Within reason

Hey! He was just as instrumental in destoying those Death Stars as anyone else thank you very much. I wasn't taking into consideration the books and stuff or anything...and if you do leave him up there then yes...please change my vote

But my word is not law. Feel free to delete it and not insult me.... (but maybe other people )

No offence intended.

He is still a secondary character. The poll is about the major characters. Not trying to start a fight, but that was my feeling when I made the poll in the first place. The people I left out, I left out on purpose. But I suppose on that basis, maybe Chewie shouldn't be there - I know quite a few people who would pick him as their fave.
I am sorry if I annoyed anyone, I did not mean to insult you skip. My apologies.

Leave him up there, people obviously feel a lot more strongly about him that I was expecting. I am happy with additions being made, within reason.

I wondered if anyone would... Good role model for all the girls? Hmm, I dunno, that gold bikini was a bit risque!

Hey! Leave Chewie there. I still haven't decided but it's between Han and Chewie!

Leia? I don't think so. When did she ever save them? She blew the grate off the trash compactor, causing them to come close to incineration, then she went to Jabba's palace and got caught. She was a good character, just no someone I would vote for in this poll.

I liked Leia well enough but there was just something missing for her to be my fave hero. If it came right down to it Padme was a better choice as far as being a good role model for the girls I think.

See? There's always one :wink2:

Padme or Leia? That's a tough choice. I liked Leia better, but maybe Padme is more of a hero? Leia did kill Jabba though - that was pretty gutsy, taking on that monster.
Mind you, Padme did pretty well against that cat thing in AOTC too.
Hmmm, not sure.

According to the trivia section in imdb, Leia is the best shot - she never misses, apparently. I reckon that's gotta be another good reason to vote for her

I think Leia and Padme are good examples of female characters which are based in a male dominated genre.

When comparing both characters today, Padme would come out as the strongest female character.
However, the Starwars original triology was made 1977-83. I'm sure at that time Leia was a good role model for girls. (Though I actually preffered to play with my Han Solo toy..... I actually lost Princess Leia down the drain. )

If I recall correctly she only shot one of the stormtroopers when she and Luke were trapped on the ledge in ANH. Other than that she didn't shoot very often.
