Okay, someone once said, "still wondering what Buffy would do". In fact, it was Highlander 2 and she said it just a couple of hours ago.

!!!!!!SEASON 7 SPOILERS WITHOUT GRAY COVERS AHEAD!!!!!!

She wants to know, what job is Buffy going to do at the new Sunnydale High?

1. Library Assistant, yeah, and Giles could return as the Libr.... oh, never mind, it'll never happen.

2. Cafeteria work would seem to fit her resume. But it's a rigid schedule, that she may not be able to follow.

3. She'd be qualified for Janitorial work and it wouldn't seem so strange if she disappeared for hours during the day. Just kidding.

4. Lots of states are waived requirements for college degrees to fill a teacher shortage, but Buffy has no specialty - except in Athletics?

5. Grounds-keeping Grounds-keeper Buffy? Plus, tree... pretty. And, her best friend's a Willow <sorry :blush:>.

6. School Bus Driver. Oh, yeah, too cool. Lots of free time during the day, but a rigid schedule. Oh, yeah, she doesn't drive. But she's had three months...

7. TV Fantasy Job. They make up a job for her, like, Special Assistant in Charge of Giving Buffy an Excuse To Hang Around High School.

obcooke, I see you have not deigned to vote on your own poll, what do YOU think Buffy will be doing?

I voted for.... School Bus Driver, because, erm, I would get a big fat kick out of it.
However, I think she will probably end up in the library.
Cafeteria would be too similar to the fast food joint, Athletics could be an idea, but I can't really imagine Buffy actually teaching something, can you? Groundskeeper - I guess that would give her lots of excuses for finding big evil in the woods undoubtedly right next to Sunnydale High!

She couldn't get a job as a guidance counsellor without qualifications, could she? That could be another avenue...

You know, I finished the poll just before midnight and it was the first one that I have done - and I actually got so busy with the design that I FORGOT to vote.

I went with Athletics although it may be wishful thinking.

Cafeteria workers & Bus Drivers have a strict schedule. You have to be there at certain times of the day - no excuses. Although in TV land, that may not be strictly true.

Library Assistants are usually unpaid students.

I figure Buffy isn't going to learn to drive just to haul screaming kids.

Janitor/Gardener are possible, but not as much fun as watching her in the gym. Plus gym shorts... pretty.

I love your selectiong of occupational choices, obcooke -

however, finding it difficult to decide which to choose -- hmmmm -

so many choices - and potentially, so much rationale to go into them for determining the one that works best ---

totally love the 'tree pretty' reference ---

athletics seems like the best fit for her but again, she may not do that because she doesn't want to draw attention to her slayer abilities..i think she'll go back to waitressing or somethin...
