A long time ago we used to have to buy recharge points to recharge the items. The recharge level is just how many recharge points we have. Later they were replaced by recharging directly in the trade center. They're called "bonus points" now and you get one every day that you log in. However, I've noticed that you have to be not logged on the site at 0:00, or else you don't get the recharge point for that day.

:alienooh: I too had that problem Stacy! Until someone told me to log off before midnight Zulu time and then log back in after midnight! I was stuck on 25 bonus points for a few days but then I realised I had been leaving the comp on all night and not logging out of Ausgate :eek7: Star'man'ac :smokin:

Is there any method, item or special trick that will incease the probability of getting more than one point per question? I hate spending hours answering all the questions to get 200 experience points. Maybe its just bad luck????

No. The scores for questions are based on three things: a) other peoples previous answers - since people generally learn from mistakes, this means that over time the score for any given question will tend to lower down towards one. There is a question in "Bane" which is stated as "100%" answered correct, although there are about 35 wrong answers out of 6000+ attempts. b) The random daily question reset - this picks one question and resets the count. Which means the first perhaps 50-100 people will get a noticeably higher score for that question than before, but as above, it will tend back down to 1 over time. c) The random multiplier - pretty much random (and I do have some figures...) and ABOUT every nine location tests, over a full run of the 200+ locations. d) There are ways to increase your score per test, but only because those tests are already scored higher than other ones... think about it. But, remember (a) above... e) There may also be ways to cheat the tests, but, I don't know them, don't know if they are detectable by Allan, and most certainly don't condone them! :dead:

Glad to at least have some idea how the scoring system actually works. I guess I was afraid that it was the sort of "slot machine" you describe. I agree completly about the cheating comments.

:alienooh: Me too, PTeppic and Bernie! I don't agree with cheating of any kind in Ausgate! To be honest I cant say the same for Ryans site, as the answers to the RE questions are freely available, or were! Bernie When the new episode exams were being entered, and PTeppic will correct me if I am wrong, they scored 10pts, and, as more and more people got the answers right, that dwindled to 1pt. Not counting the random factor or multipliers! When new episode exams are entered, probably in the new site, they will probably start at 10pts again! So be on your toes come December :rolly2: John :smokin:

Yes. Go to "Comms". (left hand menu) Press "Compose" (right hand menu) On the right hand menu panel, there is a "Find User" text box, which you can use to find matching user names.

a) it used to (I think) - but in the last say six months, I have never, ever seen it happen since, and that is during say 50 complete runs through every question at every location in every episode on AusGate... b) [following "FAQs" at the top of the page, through to the "how do I get a picture under my name" and then the "here" for more information] you need to have posted 50 times before you can get one. The limitation is there to reduce bandwith I think. BUT the above-described FAQ is out of date! ![]() If you go to the very top-level ASciFi Announcements thread, to the topic New Avatar Policies which was created about a year ago, the policy changed. In summary: 100 posts for one of the supplied avatars, 1000 posts for your own custom avatar. But subscribers have no limit.
