Not a villian per se, but I did see some spoiler pics for this film in which Picard's love interest from Insurrection was standing next to Molina.

I

It would be very cool if they could get a Spider-man vs. Venom live action. Maybe spider-man #3. It would be soo cooool. Venoms always been my favortie villian. as long as they never do Caranage. They would a terrible movie.

Wow this thread is OLD!! LOL

Went to see spiderman 2 last night, was very good. Special effects were amazing. spoiler alert below (just in case - as no film thread available).

Alfred Molina was brilliant as Dr Otto Octavius. Obviously the story between Peter and MJ is still ongoing. (with the on-off romance/love etc.

Harry Osbourn is the person who helps finance Dr Octavius's project. Donna Murphy plays his wife - Mrs Octavius. The one particular scene which I thought brilliant was the tube/train/the El. Spiderman was attacked by Octavius and ended up on the train. Octavius damages the train which goes into overdrive. Spiderman has to save it. The effects were fantastic in this scene.

Hope someone goes to see it soon or posts here too.

ditto to everything you said! just saw it for the second time last night.

but...

i was watching a bit of oprah when toby and kirsten were on, and we couldn't help but notice how angry they seemed to be at each other. apparently the two of them dated for a bit during the filming of the original but only for a short time. apparently kirsten feels that toby tried to use the relationship to further his career. (like making him look more macho) also, she's been dating Jake Gyllenhaal for a while now, and from my understanding he and toby are pretty close friends (or at least they used to be....)

jake has been in a few recognizable movies like bubble boy, donnie darko, the good girl, and more recently the day after tomorrow.

but yeah, i can't really see the two of them together either. something else i found out, kirsten only got the role of mj after kate hudson turned it down....now i REALLY don't see kate hudson in this role...

I loved this film! I reckon Toby's better in this one and the special effects are great. The train scene was amazing when the passengers caught him before they fall and carried him in. If he carries on like that everyone in New York is going to know who he is!

I wasn't too impressed with this film, for me it was really similar to the first one. And for some reason, Peter seemed very whiney and annoying. :disgust:

But I did like Octavius, and the train scene was brilliant.

Re: Spider-Man 2

Number 2 was a huge improvement over the first. American critics loved the first but it had shoddy special effects and the story was not quite there. But Raimi nailed the second one with Peter's backstory.

You're kidding. I was dissapointed with the second. You knew where it was going whether you'd seen it before, knew what should happen or anything. The first, I loved much more. Yes, you always knew Spiderman would win, and some of the special effects weren't top quality, but overall, it was better.
