I would positively hate for a TC film to be made, and would avoid watching it at all costs. For a start, so much of the work revolves around internal thought processes and all sorts of subtleties which can't really be translated to the big screen, but regardless, I'd much rather keep the image of the world the books have conjured for me than have a film-maker's interpretation shoved into my mind (I take this stance with pretty much all films based on books, actually). |
