Update May 25, 2002

Sorry I haven't been by in a bit...I was working up north for a few days.

Here is a bit of an update...
The Telco has an order in to get their CO Switch updated to get the additional bandwidth that we need. I have been working on an idea that may have a 25% chance of working. Worth a try for now. The only glitch is that the upload speeds will not be as strong as it needs to be but the access will be there.
The line I have that is "supposed" to be working downloads fine but will not upload. Which is what is needed for all of us Ausgaters to get on. I will tell you this though...the new server is working excellent..
I will keep you all posted...

Thanks for the update.

I'm glad to hear that the new server is working fine.(Though with problems)

I hope that your idea works...Even if it just gets us back online.

As Im sure I speak for everyone ....WE WANT AUSGATE...

The only other problem that us Ausgaters have is the "Big Debate"
Do we want to be on right now, or do we want to wait for the site to be amazing.

I think this is the poll you should've put up.

Havok

PS. I was the one who voted for the dartbord...Cause If you ask a stupid question you had better expect a stupid answer.
No offence???

Well, since you have asked, Mrs Ambassador and I have been trying out this "holiday" practice you seem to favour here on Earth, for the last week.

Since most of the staff at the Embassy are human, we have had to oblige their requests, so thought the lack of AusGate was a perfect opportunity to try the experience ourselves. Now I must admit that I think we have some jesters in the Embassy staff - they recommended the Lake District here in the UK. We have many holograms of Reetalia around the building, and this must have been the basis for our staff to suggest the Lakes for our break.

As you can imagine, we were quite suprised by the landscape and weather, which was as far from that on Reetalia as can be imagined. Instead of beautiful, sandy deserts, with bracing, dust-laden wind-storms, we found awful lush, green and above-all moist acres of woodland, open grassland and lakes! Interesting and bizarre things you humans like!

:growls deep in throat: I would have been perfectly content with this update had you not felt the need to share the fact that you were UP NORTH!

Do you know how many years since I have been farther north than Brown County for reasons other than funerals? I can't even tell you, which is sad.

I want to go fishing. Can we get you to take a day off and go fishing with us, Geekman? :begs just because she wants to get out of cold and raining Mil-town:

Thank for the update........as for what's been taking my time? Well actually I've been catching up on all the study that I'd been putting off till the last minute.......well it is the last minute and I'm studying like made.....I've had to move my study away from the room with the comp in it.....cause I have this little bad habbit that borders on addiction......it's known as ausgate, and when not doing the study thing I can be found sitting in front of my comp and continually trying to access ausgate:nuts:  :eek7:

I swear I've had my medication today :disturbed

Well Morrigan..I was up north setting up a few internet sats.
You are only 70 miles east of me now..I was talking to Iolo last Sept. at Gatecon about coming over to Madison sometime during the summer and taking my boat out (if I ever get time to get it out of storage and get it down to the slip)...have to bring your own fishing pole though. hehe

Smile Remember Memorial Day

Good afternoon/evening.....just wanted to wish everyone a safe Memorial Day..and for those of us within the United States, it is important to remember what this day is really all about...

We can never forget our fellow countrymen and women who gave their lives to guarantee the continuation of our way of life..Those of us who have benefited from their ultimate sacrafice can never let future generations forget what they gave up in order for the rest of us to live in a free and open society.

God Bless the members of our Armed Forces and God Bless the United States of America!!

KTGO!!!

I'll bring my own pole, but you have to put the bait on, unless I bring my tackle box and waxies (which I still don't know if are legal or not). I dun like the squirmy, nasty, icky nightcrawlers and minows, and especially not leeches.

And I'll especially enjoy a boat that requires docking in a slip, and doesn't threaten to capsize when someone stands up in it. I still get the chills when I think about that ::shudders::
