Daniel "Oz" Osbourne

Daniel "Oz" Osbourne -- Seth Green -- fellow student of the Scoobies, and also a werewolf - as the audience discovers in season 2 (so do the Scoobies, actually).

He and Willow have a relationship, until another werewolf shows up in Sunnydale, and Oz decides that he needs to leave to 'help' himself. He returns to Sunnydale just before the showdown with Adam to see Willow, unfortunately, he meets the Initiative and the Scoobies have to get him out.

Okay - that's the short version of the history of Oz - anyone wanna add to??

I liked Oz until S4 when he went all weird and stuff -- or, when the writers made him all weird -- like 'not good' weird -- he was always kinda weird.

Why exactly do some writers feel the need to ruin a character b/c they're writing them out of the show?

See - Riley's kinda the same way - he's not horrible, but they screwed him up so bad that they had nowhere to go but 'gone' with him - he had to leave - there was nothing more he could do b/c of what they did with the character.

They did the same with Oz. I mean, I read somewhere that Seth wanted out b/c he really didn't have anything to do on the show, and I get that -- but they didn't have to write him a stupid storyline to have him leave... ugh --
