o.k., say there IS a baby. What should happen to it to best keep the show progressing well?

Even though I still find it to be a worn out plot device and is the most likely scenario, I think the baby will probably end up being taken by Scorpy and used as leverage against Crichton. But like I said, this is a worn out plot device and our beloved writers shouldn't even go there.
