Glory Glory - aka - Ben - aka Glory -- you get the idea - (sorry, I don't remember the actress' name) - She was the god who was banished/exiled from her hell dimension and was looking for the 'key' to get back to her own - Little catch tho, to stay in 'our' dimension, she had to share her body w/ a human male - Ben - the good doctor - Well, Glory's first problem was figuring out how the key had been hidden and once she knew, then she had to locate it and snag it. Not a very nice lady, but a very well-acted role. So - what else can we say about Glory?

Oh, I love the Glory storyline. Full-season story arc and all. Actually, my fave Buffy ep ever is from season 5 - "Intervention" - that episode is just so well-done and the story is interesting - it gives a lot of insight into some of the characters (yes, yes, namely Spike) - and shows us that Glory isn't necessarily the brightest bulb - she's a bit dim and quite demanding - but still a great character!

Spike, unselfish? Um - gotta say that just about everything Spike does, he does for Spike. Helping Buffy? That wasn't for Buffy - that was for Spike. He did it so he could be close to her - not b/c it was a 'nice thing to do'. The only exception, I know of, was when he brought flowers for Joyce and didn't have a card to leave with them - just the flowers. Honestly, one could argue that going to get his soul was selfish - sure, he said he did it for Buffy, but he did it so Buffy could love him - which is what *he* wanted, not what Buffy wanted. Okay - that's totally not Glory-related, but the comment struck me... Clare Kramer is the actress who plays Glory (she was in "Bring it On" w/ Eliza Dushku) -- Glory - she was just your average, classic, hell god, b*tch... Lots of fun too --- even tho she hurt Spike.

Re: Glory I liked Glory better when she was angry and dangerous than when she was happy; for some reason, her happy personality grated on me. I think perhaps it could be that Clare Kramer's voice sounds grating to me when she is happy and not-so-grating when she is angry . Best Glory ep, IMHO--"Checkpoint".

Re: Glory Glory was my favourite buffy villain from the instant i first saw her. Though i loved Drusilla as well... Glorificus was just simply awesome. one of my favourite lines in all the series of buffy is in the episode where Buffy gets locked in the house with the crazy vampire - drugged by Giles - when the Council is trying to take over again... at the very end Buffy asserts her power and asks "so what kind of demon is she?" "well thats the thing isn't it... she's not a demon" "what is she then?" "She's a God." "oh" Buffy says... i love the whole episode, but especially that bit... right at the end. it goes something like that anyway... its just the perfect end to the episode and to reveal Glory's deific nature.
