Commander Harmon Rabb, Jr. POV --> <Crime scene> This doesn't look good at all. The professor is lying on the floor, his feet protruding just beyond the desk and not a drop of blood to be seen. Hmmm. "So, Mac, what do you think?" "Harm, give me a minute." She walks around the desk and looks at the professor's body. "Harm, come here." "Yeah?" I meet her over there and look. That's odd. Why would that be there? "Mac, what is that?" "I don't know."

Mulder's POV <Crime Scene> It's going to be another one of those days I can tell. I tracked Krycek to the University but I lost him and now we get to deal with a dead body and....the military? What in the hell are they doing here? There must be more to this than I thought....

Krycek's POV I glance over at the "boss" to see if he has any instructions...then when Iowa turns to follow my gaze I simply reach over and stick a syringe in his arm. Good thing I had an extra one from when I offed the professor. You never know when that might come in handy. Quick working drug too. Wonder where they came up with it anyway. Oh well...it works and that's all that matters.

Harmon Rabb POV "Someone bag that," a new voice called across the room. I look up to see some FBI guy in a dark suit, his hair falling haphazzardly around his face, pointing at the syringe on the floor. What was he doing here? What did the FBI want with this case? It's a dead professor. "Harm, where are you..." Mac stoppped, apparently she'd seen the FBI agent too. "Hi, Commander Harmon Rabb, Jr.," I say, extending a hand to the FBI agent in question.

I toss the folder on the desk. "Dispose of it yourself. I'm a mercenary, not a garbage man. As for the suit, he's as dead as Iowa over there." I point to the body lying on the floor. "Now, since I'm finished with this little chore, I'll be leaving." I start backing towards the door as I finish talking. I wouldn't trust putting my back to anyone, especially this guy. | |

Krycek's POV I pause and consider that statement and all that it most likely implies. He wants me to dispose of that body huh. Okay, I can do that. After all, he didn't say how he wanted it disposed of now did he. I look at the man with the checkbook and grin. "If that's the way you want it, I'll be happy to dispose of him for you, but I want my money now. I finished the job you hired me for and brought you the file so pay up"

Mulder's POV I glance outside and notice the sun beginning to set and smile to myself before answering the Commander. After all, when it get's late the rats come out to play and there's at least one Rat I wouldn't mind running into tonight. "I see...well, this case isn't exactly in your jurisdiction, so if you want to just report to your superior on your missing person, we can deal with it from here."

Harm's POV (thread resurrection time again) Mac's tugging at my shirt and talking in my ear, saying something about not leaving this for the FBI, because then we'll never find out what happened, but that we should take our leave and do our own investigation elsewhere. "Yeah, Agent Mulder, was it? Thanks. We'll report in. Let us know if you need any help with this." I shake his hand again and walk away. Mac's right behind me. I don't like this. There's something going on here that we need to be a part of.
