These are the 'big names' of the behind-the-scenes people. Highlander Writers: Gregory Widen - it all started with his grad school project! Peter Bellwood and Larry Ferguson also aided with the writing. (per imdb.com) Director: Russell Mulcahy - a wonderful director! he's also responsible for "Resurection" another of my fave Christopher Lambert movies. (too bad they didn't bring him in on Endgame - the movie might have been better if he had.) Producers: Peter S. Davis and William N. Panzer - what can we say? They forked over some cash to get the movie made. Honestly, I'd be quite proud of that fact, except that Endgame was made and so poorly done too. (more on this in the Endgame thread.) Seriously, I had no problems with the production staff for any of the Highlander films or series, until Endgame. So - guess we can discuss these people here.

<sigh> here we go - Highlander II Writers: Gregory Widen is credited, but only b/c he created the characters from the first movie, I'm not sure if he's responsible for creating the rest of the characters for this one. Brian Clemens and William Panzer are credited for creating the story. (Ah, now we see where the problem arose!) Peter Bellwood is credited with the screenplay. Director: Russell Mulcahy - again. He's actually *in* this movie. If you watch the sequence where Connor is remembering the time they first put up the shield, the guy in the control room who says something along the lines of 'Ok, let's do this, people.' (apologies for not remembering the exact quote, been a while since I've watched this one). Producers: The two from before: Peter Davis and William Panzer, but add to that list, Jean-Luc Defait, Ziad El Khoury, and two co-producers, Robin S. Clark and Alejandro Sessa, and two executive producers, Guy Collins and Mario Sotela.

Highlander III Writers: again, Gregory Widen is credited with the charaters. Brad Mirman and William Panzer are credited with the story. Paul Ohl, with the screenplay. (according to imdb.com, Brad Mirman is also responsible for the screenplay, tho he's not credited) Director: Andrew Morahan (I have no idea who he is. I've never heard of him before, only on this movie. According to what is listed on imdb.com, he's more of a music video director.) Producers: executive producers: Guy Collins and Charles L. Smiley; producer, Claude Leger. (No mention of Davis or Panzer for production of this one.)

The Writers, Director, and Producers <sigh> here we go again... Highlander: Endgame Writers: Gregory Widen - credited, again, as creator of the characters. Eric Berny, Gillian Horvath, and William Panzer - story credits. Joel Soisson - screenplay credits. Director: Douglas Aarniokoski (again, a director I've never heard of except in relation to this movie) Producers: Yes, our good friends Peter Davis and William Panzer are back to muck up a perfectly good storyline. I'd list the rest of the production staff, but it's not worth the effort. The movie wasn't that good.
