Ten-Forward and Voyager im not sure if anyone has asked this before but regardless of wether or not Voyager was a family ship or not it should still of had a ten forward shouldnt it? ten forward on the enterprise-D was a place not only for the families but for the crew to relax and to basicaly communicate with other people in this there wasn't one hold on im gonna check my fact files

Think you'll find that 'Ten Forward' is literally a rhyming of the location (deck 10 at the front). Voyager had an equivalent, Neelix's Mess, which was the result of combining the crews and officers wardrooms into one large cabin, part of the Captains suite if I remember. As such Ten Forward makes little sense- not on deck ten nor at the front. Thinking about it. I'd be interested in where the other wardrooms are. TNG never shows them, yet they must logically exist. They certainly appear to on Enterprise.

just gotta check what deck it was on (cant do it now cause parents asleep) but ten forward was definately at the front in the middle of the most forward part of the saucer section is where ten forward is. (remember that epiode where picard is trapped there after going back for his saddle?)

I can confirm that the 'ST:TNG Technical Manual' has the 'Ten Forward Lounge' at the very front bulge of the saucer section, in the middle, 10 decks down from the top. It mentions an 'Aft Observation Lounge' directly behind the Main Bridge, and the 'Captain's Ready Room' but nothing else. The Galaxy class starship is HUGE though, plenty of room for anything you care to include. Plans shown by Geordi in one episode apparently included a 'Cetacean Navigation Room'.

Well thankee kind Sor! Now for my question:- All the sources I can find claim that Voyager in common with all the larger ships include an 'Aero Wing' shuttle on the underside of the saucer. It's the jigsaw shaped piece on the ventral plan. (They also claim the Bridge also forms a self-powered warp capable emergency shuttle, which is getting too extreme.) Have they ever used or mentioned it?
