| Corin I think from what I've seen of him on the show so far he's doing a great job and I'd love to see him come to the con. I haven't really seen him do anything else before and only watched his old show like twice, but I think he fits in nicely and gives us a new aspect we haven't had in a while. I know Michael Shanks won't come to Gatecon, at least it's highly unlikely that he would, but even if he did I don't think that should stop Corin from coming. He has every right to be there just like everyone else that's in the show or works for the show. As far as I'm concerned everyone should feel welcome to come by and say hi and give us the chance to thank them personally for the great work they do on the show. I would love to meet the whole crew and give them a round of applause for all their hard work, they all deserve it. Peace, SS |

| Nemec Frankly, I resent the implication that anyone who did not like the character of Jonas would be "impolite" to the Actor. Some of us actually *do* know the difference between a fictional character that we really don't care for, and the reality performer who was hired to portray him. My personal opinion, to which I am entitled: I think Jonas is a big, sucking vacuum on the program that varies between being boring and being a smug Mary Sue. He has no complexity (eating bananas and watching the Weather Channel are quirks, not character) and there doesn't seem to be any sort of chemistry between him and any of the other SG-1 team members. He seems to be having his own show, off on his own, even among the rest of the crew. McKay would actually have been a better choice as a quirky 4th member of the team; for all of his annoyances, he had very clever dialogue, his quirks were entertaining, no matter how annoying they were; and he had real chemistry with the rest of the crew. Even *NOBODY* as a 4th would have been preferable to Jonass. That being said, I recognize that Corim Nemec is not Jonas Quinn, and my dislike of Jonas as a presence (or vacuum) on SG-1 does not make me have irrational longings to be rude to a professional actor. Anyone who believes otherwise is projecting a need for some serious reality check. Leah |
