Thanks! I just recorded a few of them. Man, sound files take up space! I was debating the idea of reading a story until I saw how big the files were. Anyway, you can go to my site and listen to the wav files if you want.

Silent Listener

Rocky mountain cliff,
Overlooking the vast sea
Seeing the same, never

What I believe hooked the publisher

me, myself...i

Sometimes, i wish i could say what was on my mind
But i just Can not find the words.
To say just the right thing—
To be helpful— is something i mourn.

The right situation, i have never found.
i always end up in the wrong complication.
me. i cower behind the door,
But what i want to do is not run.

Helping out was never my strong point,
No matter how many say so.
i do what people think Is me,
Instead of what i know.

The mask i wear is false,
Yet true still.
To shun Her is what I want to do.
But wear Her forever, i will.


before you ask, the capitalizations {or lack thereof} were meant to be put there. It's a very visual poem.

A fountain of light
springs forth from the candle's flame,
shimmering and bright
as the scintillating fire
dances with ardent desire.

Dragons At Night

Sinuous shapes soar
across the black evening sky
sprinkled with white stars.
The dragons' thunderous roar
echoes for an endless time.

Thank you! I mostly write tanka, though I've been known to write other forms as well. I enjoy the challenge of finding the right words to make a short poem work.
