Here are a few poems of mine. Enjoy! * * * * * Mars What secrets lie deep beneath your coppery soil, hidden far below? What will we find when we probe below your cold, hard surface? Some believe there are ancient civilizations, or perhaps fossils, microscopic forms of life older than the dinosaurs. Whatever we find will enlighten us, I’m sure, and the scientists will proclaim a new era of technological feats. But when the day comes and the great mystery ends, will we grow lazy and not search among the stars for other discoveries? * * * * * The Unicorn and the Storm The unicorn stands alone on a cliff above the ocean. Waves crash upon the jagged stones that jut outward like broken bones. Lightning shreds apart the heavens like the claws of a dragon. Yet, in the midst of the storm the unicorn remains composed. * * * * * A Spectrum of Dragons A spectrum of dragons soars in the sky -- Crimson, vermilion, orange, gold, green and blue, indigo, violet, rose, black and white. Their scales sparkle in vivid rainbow hues, like scintillating jewels in the sun, as the dragons gracefully glide on wings through wispy silver clouds like thin strands spun from a spider's web, glittering like rings. Ascending high above emerald plains, the dragons shimmer like radiant stars. They are creatures mystical and arcane, fearsome and awe-inspiring from afar, breathtakingly majestic in their flight as shadows herald the coming of night. * * * * * Fairy Dragon A fairy dragon no larger than a flower shimmers in the glow from soft yellow candlelight on a desk cluttered with scrolls, as an old wizard mutters some arcane phrases and draws intricate designs with enchanted ink on ivory-hued parchment. Suddenly, the ink vanishes, and the wizard turns to glare sternly at his familiar, who grins, displaying gleaming white fangs. The ink well appears unharmed in its position as the wizard scowls, for his companion has just gotten the better of him. * * * * * Thunderstorm A nebulous sky lit by silver arteries, sliced by sword-sharp winds. * * * * * Reverie Time weighs like a stone. Old ghosts whisper hollow words of their lost desires. Dreams swirl in white mist, bringing visions of the past and forgotten thoughts. Dull reality replaces these brief daydreams and asserts itself.

Here's a few more. Night Fairies Solitary moon hangs like a shining pendant in an onyx sky, as the night wind softly blows and shimmering stars twinkle. Fairy wings flutter; their silky touch sweeps across the sleeping infant as she dreams of unicorns while her mother rests nearby. ***** Dreamscapes Imagination runs through the mind like a raging river, gushing forth into incredible dreamscapes where unicorns graze in lush, emerald valleys and dragons, glittering like gems, soar in clear blue skies. The azure atmosphere blends into the blackness of space. Sparkling stars shine and illuminate distant worlds, where dreamers imagine even more fantastic dreamscapes. ***** Crystal Dragon Crystal dragon scales sparkle like tiny prisms, reflecting rainbows in the sun's radiant glow, chasing away dark shadows. An icy wind blows as the dragon soundly sleeps near a hill of snow, dreaming about gems and gold and many wonders untold. ***** Emerald Dragon An emerald flash in blue ocean waves alerts the nearby sailors casting their handwoven nets into the pale green sea foam. Emerald dragon ascends into the clear sky, spraying the sailors with cold, wet mist from his wings and gracefully soars higher. There's a lot more at my web site. I wrote a whole bunch of poems last year. I've been working on my stories this year so I haven't written much poetry lately.

Here it is, sorry it's not that good No need to ask any questions the sad faces tell it all, The news that came back was sad the 2 children gone, loved by all. Silent rage controls them with that aching, numbing pain, As an anger wells within them the tears no 1 can contain Was it just another hoax? a play time gone wrong, All know that's not 2 be the menace present ther was strong. Death placed his hand among the community & stole away 2 children who rated great, Now 2 family's grieve for their children who's innocence .... sealed their fate. But when the grieving's done & the bitterness is spent, They'll speak again of Jessica & Holly of what they did & meant. A all will write epitaphs to the chlidren they all knew, Who's lives ended so tragically Always chlidren through & through.
