if u think people should only read them if they want to, you should put a link in, then at least the person can decide

I don't thinks they are that bad! I only have 2 that are worthwhile. I'll post another one here..again, these are dark poems....influenced by Millenium, and all the books I've read by King/Koontz/Straub etc!

The pale orb stares from its dark velvet cradle.

Does it know my secrets?

I dare not catch a glimpse of its white gaze.

I walk, hunched, head close to breast.

I feel its nothingness upon me.

My boots crunch the dying Earth.

Does it know my secrets?

My breath escapes in phantom mists.

I sigh, for they are fleeting wisps of soul.

Delicate, spiraling vapors.

Ascending.

Their lofty destination certain.

Does it know my secrets?

The night devours them.

The cold, faceless orb has fed.

Sure looks as if we've most definitely got some talented people here, so wlcome to you all & keep up the brilliant work!

As for me, I'm ashamed to say that one poem of mine is the ONLY one that I've ever done as poetry isn't one of my strongest points, but if by chance I do think up another, then I'll post it here as soon as I can, hopefully will be about my favourite F1 team, no IT WILL BE about my favourite F1 team!

Had to do that once at school & it turned out to be disaster for me, but I've always found that if I can write poetry, then it's normally about a subject that I like, relate too etc.

Then obviously not every one can write poetry about a given subject & I thought that I was the only one who couldn't!

Thanks y'all for the kind words...I now submit the last Dark Poem: This one is the darkest one, again, I was not disturbed while writing it...errr, well not 100% disturbed!

Into the Mouth of Madness(no relation to the John Carpenter film!)

The Black curtain slowly descends.

I can feel its cool malevolence upon me.

Dark fingers caress my vulnerable flesh.

They are Theives of the Aybss.

The larceny of my warmth is what they seek.

My blood chills.

My mind is numb.

My thoughts frozen.

Bright eyes are now dull chips of colored ice.

I dare not breathe in the Night.

Caressing strokes turn to prying claws.

It wants in.

Scratching.

Ripping.

I am torn.

My blood is still.

My mind decays.

My thoughts crack.

I am immersed in black nothingness.

It

is.

Inside.

Extremely good.

Ever thought of maybe becoming a professional persom who writes poetry for a living? as you would be extremely good at it.

Or failing that seeing if you can get any of them published as you've got a gift there that should be shared with every one both here & the world.

I am most humbled by your kind words! I would truly like to be a "published" author, mostly a novelist! I haven'tt really written or considered poetry in quite some time, but perhaps! I posted a thread about Blade Runner fan-fiction and cut and pasted chapter 1 of a short story I wrote..I hope people respond to that as well.. coupled with all these kind words here, perhaps it will give me the motivation to get my creative juices flowing again!
