Re: Do You Write Poetry? What should people do instead? Fight? Start wars? Keep our emotions pent-up? For some, people poetry is a release. It's stops us going crazy when life tests us past enduring point.

Re: Do You Write Poetry? LOL. I'll talk to a blank page if there's no one else around (see my previous posts in the QR )Sorry -- I can't find a way to shut me up. ![]() I just think -- and call me naive -- that people can be reasoned with.

Re: Do You Write Poetry? But then there are those people who lack the faculties for even simple reasoning. Best to smile politely and walk away, in those cases. Anyway, back on track, poetry, anybody?

Re: Do You Write Poetry? Your mother. Is it Moogle? hahah No...could be anyone. But I have a tendency to read pieces and take in the information, then let my *feeling* for the piece tell me. Thought you could expand some lines and shorten others so that the rhythym kept to the same cadence. My POV Cheers

Re: Do You Write Poetry? I wrote this years ago HUMAN ERROR “I am the indispensable man” he cried, As he stepped off the conveyer belt line. He stood in his burnished armour His rotating optics align. His silver steel aerials waving His radar ever awake He stood at the door of the factory Crying, “I am the Maker you make”. He stepped forth in the brilliant sunshine Cascading with bluey-bronze hues Turned his broad metal back on his makers And strode forth in his heavyweight shoes. Mayhem ensued as he rolled through the first dwelling, Great tank tread-tracks muffling screams, Man gave him the brains and the power And reason beyond his wildest dreams.

Re: Do You Write Poetry? No Longer There is… No longer a tree No longer a field No longer a woods where deer can hide out in Only rental space for lease There is… No longer civility No longer tranquility No longer accountability Only me, me, me There is… No longer time No longer life No longer room for life Only room enough to exist There is… No longer anyone worried About what is Or was But no longer Now I'm not really a poet, unlike many who've posted in this thread, but I'm trying to broaden my horizons. This is my first free-form poem. Normally I'm cheerier than this.
