seeing as you guys are happily discussing everything to do with LOTR i thought you mite wanna know that my Biology teacher was an orc in it (for all of you that have neva heard of me b4 i live in wellington, NZ were it was filmed)

Anywho, he was an orc and he had a shoot up in Upper Hutt (they built a set in the quarry there - real hardcore set too, it looked awesome)

and one of his shoots was from eleven in the night to eleven in the morning (OMG!!!!!) he didn't see Peter Jackson or anyone like that but apparently you can see him in the first film (blink and you'll miss it part tho)

i auditioned for a role but i was apparently too young (i was 14 and they were only taking 16 above)

anywho that was about two and a half years ago.

Going on the fact that the scene was shot at night and in a quarry, I'm going to say it was the Helm's Deep scene that your teacher was in. Wish he would have seen Orli, though. That would have made this news SOOOOOO much better, ne?

OT slightly.
I was involved with a film once. The Battle of Britain.

A flight of us on Jankers were detailed as minders for one of the airfield scenes. I'm told the civy extras got 10 guineas for the day and fed. We didn't :crying:

My big part? I drove one of the bowsers that was crashed into a Spit.

Those Leylands were lethal. I'm not surprised it crashed, it took a major force of will to stop them hitting things!

Never saw More or Caine though

I know soomeone who was in Saving Private Ryan and I was an extra in Only One Jimmy Grimble----- but LOTR better!
