I quite like this ep, it was good to have Mulder back *& I loved the interaction between him & Skully. I stopped watching x-Files for about a year, when the 'Dog' came along. I quite liked how they got the 4 of them working together in the end.

Well I think they did a pretty good job all in all. I wasn't happy what they had done with either The Gunmen or Krycek and I was glad to see them back even in that way.

As for not getting enough answers, well...when have they ever told us anything? Most of the reason I liked this show was because of all the twists and turns and I like that they left questions in our minds even as they answered some others. It keeps with the spirit that is, was, and hopefully always will be...The X-Files.

I think the Gunmen or Krycek thing fit in well, we discover at the end how Mulder now has faith & belief in God, seeing how they've carried the Skully & her cross thing through out the show. They're ending on a point or 'we found out it's inevitable that the aliens are taking over BUT we can still have our faith...I liked that bit even though I'm not heavily religious

I'm for one was glad to see that Mulder had faith in God in the end. He and Scully have come so far together and in the end they each picked up some of the others beliefs and I thought that was a wonderful note to end on.

problem would be that if they got Whim back he would be in danger again. This way if no one knows where he is then he is at least somewhat protected.

Talking

That end scene - perfect, thank you CC, for giving us Shippers that scene. Well thank you for giving us this finale, you made my Shippy heart sing and jump for joy (Also, thank you for giving us Mulder in that white t-shirt and jeans, it was a wonderful sight to see )
And there was Krycek, the LGM and X! And Marita and Gibson, and even good ol' alive and chain-smoking SOB - CSM. The whole thing was like one big wade down memory lane - especially with the flashbacks
Dialogue was excellent, i loved Reyes' outburst in the courtroom, and the way Doggy and Reyes wanted to defend Mulder. Even Kersch wanted to believe in the end, i wonder what happened to Skinner?
I cant say i was disappointed - i was kept guessing throughout the whole thing, i'm one of the hugest Shippers i know and even Chris Carter managed to make me happy with their scenes, all the guest appearances by all my fav characters were excellent, a lot of questions were answered in a way that i could understand - chronologically for the most part, and of course some werent, but thats just how things are on the XF's, and i learnt to deal with that a while back.
Overall, i was left with a little tingly feeling in my stomach, i'm happy

xxx
