Patrick, I never flew Harriers, though many of my friends have/do. Having just scanned the BBC news site, I note that the pilot ejected safely, which saves me ringing round tonight. I would hate to speculate on why the aircraft would crash. Harriers are notoriously difficult to fly, but this would have been the display pilot flying, so it is highly unlikely to have been pilot error during a routine transit flight. What more can I say? Technology is a fine thing when its working ... |
