For the Fics - General Rules and Guidelines

Okay - just figured I'd put this up - just to keep everyone on the same page and not get our brand new little section ditched before we get it started good --

just general rules and such --

1) The General Rule - 'If you won't see it on the show that you're writing for, don't post it here.' - basically, this is a family-oriented forum, so PG-13 is the limit, and try to stay away from sexually explicit scenes and such. We're not trying to 'curb' your creativity, just want to keep it clean. ****Clan MacSlow still has it's yahoo-based mailing list, so that can be used for the stories that exceed the ASciFi forum guidelines.****

2) Technically this is the Highlander section, but, since Clan MacSlow caters to all genres of fiction writers, I'm not going to start shifting 'non-Highlander' stories to other sections -- namely b/c if anyone has anything that isn't scifi based, there isn't really a place for it here, so, it can stay in the Clan MacSlow section. (and this will probably be the only forum that doesn't do that). We all write for many fandoms, and rather than spreading all the WIPs all over the place, I think it will be fine to leave them here, then once the writer is comfortable with the piece, he/she can move or link it, or just have it posted to the webpage.

I think that about covers the rules and guidelines. The other standards follow - no flames, no personal attacks, that sort of thing - but I don't expect any problems.
