I chose Gandalf. He can fight with his staff and a sword.
Some fotr spoilers

He took on a wizard, orcs, a troll and a demon of the ancient world and won for the most part.

Honourable mentions go to Sam and Gimli.

my natural instinctis urging me to vote Legolas....but Aragorn is much much better with the fighting...I'll vote in a while when I've had time to think

I say Aragorn, especially how he fights off the Nazul by himself on Weathertop. You could say that the hobbits are specially how they are so determined to look after Frodo...but then everyone does...ok my roomie is getting to me, Aragorn is pretty hot when he cleans up a bit.:blush:

I love it when Legolas stabs those guys with his arrows, and he is a great shot. However, Aragorn is really good with a sword.

Yeah but Legolas is pretty good with a bow too...so it depends really on your weapon of choice...

I don't think he let his guard down rather he was totally exhausted from battling the Balrog. He had no strength left in him to react or hold on any longer. Bare in mind he is still in the body of an old man.

I mean, he killed how many uruk hai when he had like 3 arrows in him! And he just kept on going until the end! Thats good in my books!
