Re: Bibliography

Here's also a list of all A Song of Ice and Fire-related material available to date.

The Novels
1. A Game of Thrones
2. A Clash of Kings
3. A Storm of Swords (split into two parts in the UK)
4. A Feast for Crows
5. A Dance with Dragons (forthcoming, likely in spring/summer 2007)
6. The Winds of Winter (forthcoming)
7. A Dream of Spring (forthcoming)

The Short Stories
1. The Hedge Knight
2. The Sworn Sword
3. 'Dunk and Egg III' (title and publication details to be announced)
Likely another 6-9 Dunk and Egg tales to be published between and after the main novels.

The Graphic Novels
1. The Hedge Knight
2. The Sworn Sword (forthcoming)
3. A Game of Thrones (forthcoming)
Adapted and published by Dabel Brothers, these extremely well-drawn and faithful adaptions of the short stories have proven very popular. Their ambition to turn the entirety of A Song of Ice and Fire into a graphic novel series is laudable, if possibly unrealistic, so it will be interesting to see where they go with that.

The Artbook
The Art of George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire
Published by Fantasy Flight, this book is an impressive collection of hundreds of pieces of art from disparate sources relating to the series. Most notable for Amok's superb gallery of portraits of the Targaryen rulers (these can also be seen here, alongside newer portraits of other Targaryen family members).

The Roleplaying Game
A Game of Thrones Roleplaying Game written by Guardians of Order and published by White Wolf. An exceptional resource, with brilliant artwork, a gorgeous map of Westeros and some fascinating new material (particularly on the history of the Seven Kingdoms) not seen previously. Several expansions were planned for the game, but the company's financial crisis makes it unlikely that they will appear soon.

The Board Game
A Game of Thrones Tactical Wargame
A Clash of Kings Expansion Set
A Storm of Swords Expansion Set
All published by Fantasy Flight Games. An excellent strategy game, reminiscent of Risk or Diplomacy, based around the seven ruling houses of Westeros battling one another for supremacy. The new Storm of Swords expansion introduces a small-scale wargame featuring forces battling for control of the Riverlands.

The Card Game
Too many games and expansions to list. This is a very popular CCG (collectable card game) similar to Magic: The Gathering, but based around the factions and families of Westeros.

Miniatures Game
Testors have recently completed a series of ASoIaF miniature figures and are preparing a wargame to use them with, to be released at the end of this year or next year.

Computer Games
There are no official ASoIaF computer games (yet) but fan-made mods have appeared.

The Night's Watch
and A Duel of Lords: these are fan-created adventures using the Neverwinter Nights game on PC and are free to download. You need Neverwinter Nights to play them.

Westeros: Total War: a very promising mod for Rome: Total War, this was abandoned a few months ago, although attempts are underway to resurrect it for Medieval 2: Total War, which would be a much better fit for the books anyway.

Mount and Blade: a totally fan-originated game revolving around mounted combat, at least two ASoIaF-related mods are currently being created for it.
