P.S totally useless fact about me, In Gemmels first book legend there is a charter called Druss, big guy carrys an axe. i helped Simon at Raven Armoury make the prototype for the axe that now hangs in Gemmels front room. |

| Re: swords of night and day (david gemmel) Moving this to the Gemmel forum. I must say that I have not read him yet - however I've been sufficiently intrigued by other posters here that one of his books is on my list of things to buy this month. Lacedaemonian, any further thoughts on this particular book? |

| Re: swords of night and day (david gemmel) Could you tell us more about the project of deisgning the axe? It certainly sounds interesting. Was it entirely based on the book, did you also interview Gemmel, perhaps do some weaponry research, and so on? -curious knivesout |

| Re: swords of night and day (david gemmel) you might be giving me alittle to much credit there. Simon is the real armourer. All i really did was polish and work on the haft and pass him a lot of things, not to mention make the coffee. As to speaking to any one i know that simon and david are old friends. |
