When I joined all those years ago (!) I posted like mad in General Discussions and then forgot I was registered here for like 4 months!!! Then I came back and made lots of new threads and games and polls and built up my msn contacts from here and hey presto I'm a regular! Well not to LOTR, just ascifi!

When I first joined I didn't know how to use anything, so I forgot about it for months, then I was talking to my friend and she reminded me about it. So I've been on like crazy ever since!

You can jump into any of the threads and post your thoughts about the topic or start a new one if there isn't one (in the LOTR forum or one of the many other forums). One more thing, try and stay "on-topic" (sticking with the original point of the thread)in threads and forums.

Thanks! I post on a plethora of other boads/ newsgroups, etc...this site, however, looks like IT has everything under the sun(or two suns, depending on where you are from!) I hope to rack up the little alien doo-dads, but not by being a spammer! Please bear with me, the whole cyber etiquette is still fairly new to me!

I think we do have just about everything covered subject wise. But there is always room for more intelligent debate. And there is always room for anybody interested in fan fiction? Especially in Trek!

So take your time to find your way around, (even I still get lost at times

) and enjoy yourself. If you need help, feel free to ask a Moderator using a Private Message, or simply ask here.

Etiquette is straightforward:
Please be nice to people.
Try and keep on topic (not always easy)
At least check to see if there is a thread on the subject you are interested in. But don't be afraid to start a new one, if it does not leap at you. I'd rather merge a thread, than spend time talking to myself.
And above all: Keep it Clean and enjoy yourself
