Re: Welcome Newbies To Geordie bob, Apparently there are plans to make the hobbit movie, due for release in 2008. I take exception to the fact that all LotR fans are bunched with StarGate fans. I don't like stargate ![]()

Re: Welcome Newbies ::Is not a fan of SG either:: I find that I enjoy fantasy about worlds, rather than space, and other dimensions as such. I'm afaraid that SW doesn't do much for me either. Apart from drool once in a while! ![]()

Re: Welcome Newbies Hello there, I am new to this forum but just wanted to declare my admiration for J.R.R. Tolkien. I like all kinds of Sci-fi/fantasy but The Lord of the Rings it is undoubtably the best book I have read in my life (all 32 years). While I thought the film was a good adaptation and the animated film was worthy too, they in no way compare with the experience of reading the book.
