Difference #4

Frodo and the rest of The Fellowship go on an incredible journey, Harry rides the train to school!(Well, usually!)

Difference:

Frodo loves his Uncle Bilbo, visa versa, and was treated quite well by him. His uncle Bilbo has great respect for magic and a love for a certain wizard.

Harry can't stand his uncle, and visa versa. His Uncle has never ventured to know magic, and he hates wizardry.

I can't believe I didn't think of that! I was struggling to think of some the other day, and I posted the only ones I thought of! I am so stupid! It's amazing how sometimes the most obvious things are the hardest to see.

Youwelkie!

Similarity:
LOTR has ENTs- HP has Hagrid
Both are big, friendly, and giant in size.

Similarity:
Prancing Pony-Three Broomsticks

(I keep trying to think of differences and coming up with simmilarities.)

Similarites: Both tall, wear dark capes and are forboding, and both command respect. (and in my experience, both give me the most pleasant shivers)

Differences: Snape can't track to save his life. Strider doesn't know potions.

Oh forgot one thing. Both have their ways of sarcasm, or getting a point across that made me chuckle as I would read.

Snape: First impression-> tall, dark, mysterious, guy who turns out to be on the good side.(all through book one...) In a way is a protector of the main caracter. as a teacher he guides Harry. Knows the uses of strange and unusual plants and things.

Strider: First Impression-> tall, Dark, Mysterious, Guy who turns out to be on the good side.(remeber the scene at the Prancing pony) Literally becomes a guide and protector of Frodo(the Main Character). Knows the uses for plants others would not think of to use.

need I say more.Plus what Gladriel saisd is true on both accounts. It's true they are also very different.

Snape: Mean and despises Harry for seemingly known reasons.(I think it's more than what we learn in the books so far).Is a wizard > Book 4 spoiler:who once was on the dark side

Strider: Cares for and respects Frodo for obvious reasons. has no real magic powers of any kind. speaks Elvish. Is heir to a throne possibly soon to be king of Gondor. Part three spoiler: as we know he does become the king of Gondor before too long.
