I think that we should force Geekman to get some sleep !!!! think he's put in way too many hours over the past few days

Sorry I havn't been around for the past 3 days, it was a long weekend in Australia, and I wasn't going to spend it sitting in front of a computer. And I knew Geekman had everything under control.

SITE ACCESS
The site is currently accessable by the new IP address. http://208.179.25.176

The domain name reassignment should be done within 24 hours, so keep checking at www.stargate-command.com to see if it is working or not.

Now, if you are using the IP address to access the site, your cookie and auto login WILL NOT WORK, so as soon as you can access the normal web address, please always use it.

USER VERIFICATION
Many of you are getting errors when trying to retreive your account details. This is due to the server move, and something I need to talk to Geekman about.

Please remember that your username does not change when you join a faction... The faction identifier at the begginning of your name IS NOT part of your site username.

The Domain name has been switched over to the new IP address.

You should now be able to access the site again on www.stargate-command.com. For some, this may take up to 24 hours for this to take effect properly.

You may also notice that the site will run a bit slower at first, this is due to your local ISP proxy, and also the main syatem proxy to start caching what it will think is a new site. But once the site has been accessed a bit, things should speed up.

This should also fix the auto login problem. Basically the cookie set didn't know where to look for the cookie information, but now it will.

There are still a few minor details to work out with the server relocation, but that shouldn't take too long to recify.

[color=purple]I just wanted to extend just one more "Thank You" to everyone involved with the recent "down time" over at AusGate! Those of us on the "other" side of the situation cannot fully understand the amount of time and effort involved in any repair of this type, and I for one want to be VERY sure that Geekman, Allan, Tim and anyone else involved, know how muc we all appreciate their efforts on our behalves! Although I cannot speak for everyone onsite, I know I can speak for at least a handful of us...and for those few I say once more...We appreciate you and we applaude your efforts! I for one would be literally lost without my site..and although sever withdrawals had begun to set in, it helped a great deal to know that you guys were out there..working hard to get us back up and running...To you all....take a break! get some rest!! And Yes Thank God...Ausgate is BACK!!!![color]
