You must have missed a few eppys! Anyway, Jool was brought onboard Moya in a stasis chamber, meaning she was cryogenically frozen on the planet where John got his brain surgery and where Aeryn... well, you know (I hope )Anyhoo, in Season of Death, the first eppy of season three, John brought Jool and her cousin (both still frozen, mind you) aboard Moya because he thought they might be able to help him find Earth. In Self-Inflicted Wounds, Rygel unintentionally opened Jool's chamber (her cousin's had been opened earlier, leading to his death) and we've been dealing with the culture-shocked Interon ever since. She's a reminder of what John was like when he first got to this side of the universe... an educated fish out of water. She's got the learnin' but not the experience, and everything freaks her out. Chiana's only just come around to teaming up with her. That's an interesting relationship to see develop. Hope that helps. If you have any more questions, fire away! And if anyone else wants to blast my theories and statements to shreds, go for it! I love a good debate, and Jool is great fodder for it! ![]() ![]() ![]()

I think her screams are like John's "wow"s. Like at the beginning of the show, he was all "golly" every time he saw something new (although sometimes that was a big "oh, gross!" or "EWWWWW" instead) :erm: Jool screams when something scares her, and I can totally deal with that. It only annoyed me when it annoyed the others on Moya's crew, right up until I saw how useful it could be. Now, remember ...Different Destinations? By this point, when her scream is annoying to the others, they just put her (and themselves) out of misery by knocking her out. :errrr: Maybe cruel, but it's effective. ![]()

As visual proof of her growing compassion and attachment to Moya's crew, here's an image from the last eppy of season three. No need for spoiler warnings. If you don't know the context of the scene, you won't be spoiled. For now, know that my appreciation of Jool as a character has grown in leaps and bounds over the last year, and here's the image.

How'd that last one illustrate your point, Krystal? :upto: I was just waiting to use it! ![]() I actually started to think Jool was compassionate in Revenging Angel when she kissed John's forehead when he was unconscious and she was about to leave him alone. Don't know if there was any guilt at play there, but it was sweet none-the-less.
