Question What will be left out (May contain Spoilers)

The Fellowship of the Ring film is possibly one of the closest renditions to the original book ever created. Yet it did leave out several chapters in it's attempt to keep within a three hour film i.e.Tom Bombadil, the Old Forest and the Barrow Downs

The parts removed fortunately had little effect on the whole story, other than remove a few adventures that have limited effect on the whole.

Two Towers is another matter. It is going to have to follow at least four different stories, those of Frodo, Pipin and Merry, Gimli Legolas and Aragorn and finally Gandalf.

What can be trimmed?

hmmm, my memory of Two Towers is surprisingly foggy because a lot seemend to be going on at once, but I can't seem to remember much that didn't have an important part in the story.

So I'm not sure what they're going to cut out!

Maybe not everything will be cut, but sections out of each part.

Merry and Pip with Treebeard, a lot of talking in Helm's Deep and at Isengard... Give me time, I'll find more. I'm only to "The PalantÃ*r" in TTT right now.

Here are my predictions on what will change:-

Most of Sam and Frodo's journey will be skipped, except picking up Gollum, and the meeting with Farrimer.

The chase will be shortened.

The battle at Helms Deep will become a pitched battle.

The Ent Moot will barely be covered. It is not a huge part of the book anyhow.

They won't go on the 'Path's of the Dead'

But I REALLY want the Ents in a big way! They're what I'm most looking forwards too and I'd love to hear the talking

I think they will keep The POTD in it beacuse it should be pretty impressive and add another spooky part to the film
