I think:

1/ In Tom Bambidils house.
2/ In the Prancing Pony
3/ When attacked on the Ram Tops

Geeze, I just finished the book, and I can't remember! I know he did in Tom's house. I'm not positive he did at Amon Hen in the book, but then again, my memory sucks.

Ram Tops? I think you're getting Middle Earth and the Discworld mixed up!

I think Frodo put the ring on at Tom Bombadil's, at the Prancing Pony and on Weathertop.

I've known every answer so far - what a sad occupation for a
42-year-old teacher!

:flash:

Depending upon subject I'd say it was more 'busman's holiday'.

Still you are correct. I did get Weathertop and Ram Tops mixed.

Watch out folks- The inteligency are here.

Quite right... sorry for the delay... I was not sure wether or not he had made use of it in the barrow downs...

but after re-reading the passage several times I realized that there was a distinct "obey the evil ring" vs. "stay true to the pure heart" struggle...

the donning of the ring there would represent running away from friends in need and sinking into a misserable Gollum-like state...

so it is indeed (1) Tom's house (2) inn (3) Ram... errr. weathertop

Does that mean I was right afterall?

If so then try a nice easy one:

What was the name of the woods the Fellowship were recommended not to enter in Lorien
