Here some bits and bats you may not know...altho some of them you will...but anyway, let the trivia begin! :lol:

1. Because the film was known as Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in every country but the US, all the scenes where Philosopher's was mentioned had to be filmed twice, with 'sorcerers' being said instead the second time.

2. Peeves does not actually appear in the film

3. Hmm...it is thought that the cast is entirely British, but the guy who plays Griphook (I think he's called Verne Troyer) was born in Michigan, USA.

4. It was reported on 9 July 2001 that the high priest of British White Witches was upset with Warner Bros. decision to have the actors ride their broomsticks backwards, where the brush is behind the rider. Kevin Carlyon claims that 16th and 17th century woodcuts show the broomsticks being ridden with the brush part in front. Carlyon has cast a spell on Warner Bros. that the movie do poorly until they correct their mistake. (Guess it didnt work then.)
