"Angel moves to LA, where he meets up with Cordelia, who comes to work for him, and Doyle, a half-demon who gets visions of people in trouble"

a good opening episode. setting up the characters and motivations without too much time spent on intros etc. Also straight in there with Wolfram and Hart, and Angel sets up his stall with the dramatic disposal of Russel...

Thought it really cool the way Angel threw Russell out the window and how he disintegrated before he hit the ground.

very cool, although you might expect stronger windows or some kind of protection to stop people flying through them like that

I'm just not going to comment on Angel's physique.

A very good opening episode I thought. Good characters, start of an interesting storyline and loads of funny lines. Especially all of Cordys and Doyles lines.

Anybody been watching the repeats of these on UK TV on Channel 5? I think its great to see them again, from watching these to Season 4 you feel as tho the characters have all matured since the early days. (does that make sense?)

Actually, like I mentioned elsewhere, been going through my DVDs -

My fave part -- when Angel runs out into the parking garage and jumps into the wrong car!! :lol: Classic!!

Then he throws Russell out the window - that's cool too!

I kinda like Cordy when she's at Russell's place - and she's talking about her surroundings and realizes she's in a room w/ a vampire ---

Then:

Cordy: You don't know who he is, do you? Oh, you're so gonna get your ass kicked.

I really liked this episode, since it featured a frightening villain and a nice establishment of Angel's difficulty in talking to women

. Russell's death was my favorite moment, but I also liked Cordy's banter with Russell, upon finding out he is a vampire.
