"COLE!" Phoebe yelped, running to Cole's side, well, what she could see of it, waving the smoke away.

"Piper, what did you do?" Leo asked in shock.

"I don't know. Help him." Piper pushed her husband toward the smoldering Cole.

Leo placed his hands over Cole's chest while the rest of the room waited in anxious silence.

Nothing happened.

"Why isn't it working?" Pheobe screamed hysterically, now holding the fallen Cole's head in her lap.

"I'm not sure....maybe it's.....because...well he was a demon." Leo said, not at all convinced.

"So, you've healed him before plus he's completely human now. It should be easier." Phoebe was now in tears as she could feel Cole's pulse weakening and his lifeforce slipping away.

"Hmm maybe's it's because he's still evil - like i keep on saying." Paige suggested trying to be helpful. Phoebe looked like she was about to resort but Piper decided it was time to take control of the situatiion.

"Okay since he is human now, we'll just have to treat him in the human way. Leo can you orb him and Phoebe to the hospital. Paige and I'll follow." Leo nodded and tried orbing. Again nothing happened.

"Paige....???" Pheobe started pleadingly. Paige getting the hint, rushed towards her and Cole and tried orbing. Still no luck. She couldn't heal either.

"What is going on?" Piper asked "My powers still work." She demonstrated by freezing a passing fly.

"Not important, Piper just drive him to the hospital" Pheobe whispered in between sobs.

"No, they can't come here! It's too dangerous!"

One nurse glanced at her coworker and rolled her eyes. She stood and entered Mrs. McAllister's room. The little old ladyhad been brought it after a fall at home and she was currently awaiting a bed at a local nursing home. When she had arrived, she had been completely lucid and alert, but ever since that morning, she'd been yelling and screaming about these women that were going to be hurt. "Anna," the nurse said gently, "what's the matter?"

"They can't come here!" she said frantically. "Please, you have to stop them. If they come here, they're going to die."

"Who can't come here?"

"The girls! Three girls and two men. One of the men is hurt, and they're bringing him here. They can't! It's a trap and they can't come here!"

"Anna, shh," the nurse said softly, trying to calm the woman down. "It'll be okay."

"No, it's not. They're going to die."

They looked an odd troupe, walking in the hospital, with Leo carrying Cole and Pheobe hovering close.

Three girls and two men. Any other day Nurse Kate Peterson would have thought that it was a little excessive to have four people to bring in one patient but nothing more and would have gone off duty as usual. Afterall, her daughter needed picking up from pre-school and she didn't like to keep her waiting. But she'd just come out of Mrs. McAllister's room and she had seemed pretty sure so maybe she would just take this one last patient.

So she rushed over to Cole, where he'd already been placed on a gurney and was being looked over by two young interns. "Has Dr. Selby been paged?" She asked, refering to their burns specialist.

"He's on his way" one of the interns replied.

"Fine. Let's get him to exam four." She then turned to the waiting party. "What happened?"

"Ummm...well...it" Piper began not sure what to say.

"Gas leak" Paige lied easily. While Pheobe sobbed a huge sigh at the memory of her sister trying to blow up Cole.

"Don't worry" Kate said reassuringly in her direction "We'll help him. And if there was a gas leak, we should get the rest of you checked out for carbon monoxide poisoning." Maybe Mrs McAllister might be right after all, she thought in astonishment.

Hey, this is my first post on here!*waves hi to everyone* I'm gonna try and do a bit. Sorry if it's rubbish.

Phoebe, Paige and Piper were sat in a row on three beds.
"Y'know Paige you really need to get over this Cole is a demon thing"Phoebe warned. Paige sighed,
"Pheobe, my instincs are never wrong and when ever he's around they scream evil."Paige told her, Phoebe looked away.
"Maybe you're letting you'rself get too over exited. I'm sure you'll be surprised to find that you aren't right about everything"Phoebe spat bitterly,
"Yeah?"Paige stood up. Piper quikly jumped off of the bed and placed herself between her two sisters.
"Hey guys, we need to calm down and wait for the docter to come in and tell us that there is absoloutley nothing wrong with us. So, Phoebe just calm down...and Paige..sit down"piper said softly.
"I know I'm right"Paige mumbled as she sat down. Phoebe was about to start again when the door opened.

Pheobe jumped off her bed eager to ask the doctor about Cole's condition.

"How's he doing, Doctor?"

"Recovering" the doctor remarked evasively. He was slightly older than most of the doctors here, close to retirement. With wild sandy hair, that hadn't tamed or dulled with age, a round smiling face and kind, trusting eyes. He was the sort of doctor that all patients trusted. One that the Charmed ones had trusted without question. "However, I'm more concerned about you." He directed at Paige.

"Me...?" Paige stammered, bewildered. "But I'm fine"

"I'm afraid not" the doctor responded "I can't quite figure out what's wrong but there were quite a few abnormalities in your work up. Not the usual symptoms of CO poisoning, at all. Nothing to worry about I'm sure. I'd just like to run a few more tests."

"I'm okay though, doc, Pheobe interjected. "I can leave, right" She said, not liking leaving Cole alone when he needed her the most.

"Yes, Miss Halliwell, you and your sister are both fine to leave." Pheobe rushed out without another word. The doctor then turned to Piper and said with a sweet smile "You've been here all morning, why don't you get yourself and your sister a cup of coffee, while I start my examination."

"Sure, Coffee sounds like a good idea. Paige, will you be okay." Paige answered with a nod of her head and Piper left, closing the door behind her.

"So what are you going to...." Paige started but paused when she saw the smiling doctor's kind eyes flash black.
