| Observations... I've been going back and watching some of the really early S1 episodes and I've noticed that there is alot more music in them than in later season episodes. Almost every scene seems to be accompanied by a theme or tune. It's very strange. Another thing I noticed was that inthe first couple of episodes everyone, even Danny and T keep calling Sam, "Doctor", something they dont do anymore. It's interesting how much has changed since the beginning. |

| I think this is common across almost every multi-series TV show... as the characters develop, the staff-writers and/or producers move on, even as they hit some specific episode later which changes behind-screen attitudes/opinions etc., actor/ress attitudes and views and even the development of real-world issues... This later is covered by such things as change in Tau'ri weaponry. It could also affect sub-plots, with potentially long-lasting ripples through the plot. Almost an example was Daniel's "appendicitis" at the end of S3 - depending on how this had been handled the sub-plot could have dragged on for a few episodes. In other series', even the mundane problems of salary negotiations have (allegedly) made major plot changes, with actors/resses being dismissed and hence massive plot re-direction. |
