Yeah liked this one....didn't really think about the guys being vamps either. Glad to see that Xander had told the gang that he is getting married. Also good to see Tara standing up to Willow about her magic...bad Willow at the end doing the forgeting spell.... Like the fact that Giles is still in it for the moment... Overall good one as usual!

yeah - this one was pretty good -- but again - very Spike-light - which is truly annoying in more ways than one -- but - focus on Dawn is good -- and i didn't really catch on that they were vamps either -- which is pretty sad considering the promo from last week about the 'vamp crowd' - duh! i need to be more alert! ![]() anyway --- more Spike -

one other thing that i picked up on in this episode - the whole 'but that was different' when Buffy and Dawn are arguing about Dawn being out w/ vamps -- and Dawn says 'it's always different when it's you!' - oh - how true! everything's okay when Buffy does it, but when it's anyone else --- it's a 'big bad' -- why?? can someone explain that??

yeah - that's a start -- and she's said it to just about every one of the Scoobies - there's always some reason why w/ Buffy it's 'different' -- she even told Spike that the bit w/ Angel was different --- and her claim that just b/c Spike doesn't have a soul, that he can't know love or isn't able to love -- total garbage -- where is it written that ya have to have one to love?? i don't recall seeing that anywhere - you don't love w/ your soul - you love w/ your brain -- and yeah - so Spike's is technically an 'undead' brain - he can talk and walk and such - so it still works ----- (yeah yeah - i'm in argumentative mode again - mix that w/ snarky - and i'm dangerous )

Pretty good episode overall, even if it did focus too much on Dawn (I hate Dawn!). I'm really starting to hate Willow. She used to be such a nice person. But now, putting a spell on the person she's supposed to be in love with? That's kinda twisted. I'm also getting fed up with Buffy. Okay, the whole getting-ripped-out-of-heaven thing was bad, but she's not the only person in the world with problems! But can I say, way to go Giles!!! It's great to see him being the hero for once (and not getting knocked out). I love it when he gets all violent, he should lose it more often! One other thought - has Justin been on the show before? I recognise him, but I'm not sure where from.

Okay - I just gotta ask, b/c this really bugs me - Why does everyone hate Dawn? And I want real answers - not just 'b/c she's whiny' -- there's gotta be something else. Mostly I ask b/c, for me anyway, it takes a whole LOT to make me truly HATE a character. (Hate is such a strong word) There's only one character in all of tv (that I've seen) that I actually 'hate' - (not mentioning a name) - and it took a great deal for that character to bother me - there is nothing to like about the particular character that I hate. However, I don't hate Dawn. I didn't like her much at first, but then I watched more closely. Now, she is a bit whiny - and that needs to go - but she has some good qualities and if the writers ever give her a decent storyline - they could really do something with her.

Dawn's okay in my book. Not my favorite, but I like her potential more than anything they've done with her so far. I said way back before Season Six, (I swear I did, I can track the post if I have to.) that I would be real disappointed if Dawn just became someone for Buffy to save all the time. I hope they decide to do more scripts that use her well. [little smaug: I'm really starting to hate Willow.] Yeah, she really made me wonder, during Flooded, when she threatened Giles! WILLOW: I'm very powerful. And maybe it's not such a good idea for you to **** me off. And then tonight (re-runs) she spoke so viciously to Tara: TARA: Willow, you are using too much magic. What do you want me to do, just, just sit back and keep my mouth shut? WILLOW: Well, that'd be a good start. Guess we'll have to wait and see if it's supposed to be confidence or arrogance.

Ya know - I was watching this the last time it aired, and I was wondering about something. Dawn mentions having seen the guys she and Janice are with at parties before - so, are we to assume that she and Janice have been sneaking out on a regular basis? And how long had the two guys been vampires? They seemed to know enough about being vampires that they could have been several months 'old' - but dunno - was just kinda weird - And, I know we weren't supposed to 'really' know they were vamps until that one went in the kitchen and killed the old man, but still - they just seemed odd ---
