yeah - that was my feeling too - she's a little *too* immature for 15 - but - she gets coddled quite a bit - she's not forced to deal w/ stuff like Buffy was -- she didn't have to deal w/ not having a sister - b/c Tara and Willow moved in and fixed the bot - she wasn't left to 'fend for herself' - not that a 15-y/o could, but she didn't have to worry about it - guess part of that is Buffy's fault too, tho - b/c Buffy didn't do much checking up on Dawn to make sure she was going to school, or doing her homework - she just assumed that Dawn was doing everything she was supposed to be doing - any other angles on this i should argue? or did i cover 'em all? (including the one that'll get stuff thrown at me by markpud? )

i thought it was a little odd that it wasnt mentioned at all before he left, and Anya hasnt mentioned it at all since.. so amybe it will be forgotten.. but thats unlikely, as little goes unpunished in the buffy-verse...

[Highlander II: b/c while it was terribly funny, that scene, it'd be nice to do some 'follow up' on something like that] Well, you know Anya. She's likely to just blurt out something to Xander like, "Giles is a better kisser. " And she'll do it in front of everyone else, so they can exchange those looks that they do whenever Anya blurts out something.

LOVED this episode - it was so hilarious! I was laughing out loud the whole time. :laugh2: I loved Spike in this episode, he's not normally one of my favourite characters, but his lines were great - "Why not just call me Horny Giles, or Desperate For a Shag Giles?" and the whole speech when he realises he's English. I've got to admit that I didn't get the loan shark thing until I read it on here - duh! But I didn't like that guy, and his costume seemed very rubbish for BtVS. Giles and Anya as a couple was funny, and the bunny scene was great. But the kiss? Oh my god! I did not see that coming. Thank god it didn't go any further! Or maybe it did? After all, we didn't see it when Giles and Joyce had sex. And that would be more interesting if it got revealed later.I can't believe Giles actually left, I'm going to miss him so much! :crying: The last time he left I knew he'd come back when Buffy came back, but this time he's really gone. Now I have to choose a new favourite character! Over all, a great episode, my second favourite episode of season 6 so far, after "Once more, with feeling".

I just watched this episode again, and I noticed that Spike says "I saw the two of you sleeping together" (referring to Giles and Anya). But they both woke up before Spike, by the time Spike woke up they were just sitting next to each other.

Anya: I don't see any booze. And I don't see Allen Font. Giles: Who? I'm right there with you, Giles! Who is Allen Font, and why would he be there if they were all drunk? I'm guessing that this is an American reference, so can someone explain it to me please?

[little smaug: Anya: I don't see any booze. And I don't see Allen Font.] Alan (Allen?) Funt was the creator of a TV show called "Candid Camera". I'm not sure if you've heard of it, but it was a long ago hit program that was the first of the hidden camera shows. Moving fire hydrants, talking mailboxes, people eating food off your plate at the diner - all these were inventions of Alan Funt, who loved to watch ordinary people's reactions to strange happenings. That was long before "shock" TV so all the pranks were funny but none of them were rude. I can remember seeing early episodes in black & white, so it's been around a long time. The phrase, "Smile, you're on Candid Camera" and the revelation of the cameras were a staple of TV entertainment for years and the question, "Am I on Candid Camera?" was often instead of, "What the heck, is going on?" The show is still on, in syndication, being hosted by the son of Alan Funt.
