Amy is back for all of five mins and introduces Willow to darker magic with the aid of Rack. Wasn't he the guy from the Bacardi adverts? Loved Buffys line when she wakes up and asks 'when did the building fall down?' It was a classic. annette ![]()

Was not too keen on this one...I still feel that there is something missing in the shape of Giles I really don't think that Willow is going to change that easily. Did like the Spike and Buffy stuff...but think it could get a tad boring if it goes on too long! ![]()

[pamie: I really don't think that Willow is going to change that easily.] Yeah, this episode was widely panned by many of the faithful. For once, Joss & Co. seem to have produced a rather weak, thinly-disguised, derivative story. It was a hack job of a "druggie" story, including a predictable descent into madness, right out of a '50's scare-the-kids-straight film. Everyone knows that "Teleportation" is a gateway spell to harder magic and the first step on the road to Hell, right? Oh, it was sad. Perhaps they just tried to do too much in one episode. They didn't take the time to make Willow's fall more subtle and believable. [Did like the Spike and Buffy stuff...but think it could get a tad boring if it goes on too long!] I still haven't made up my mind about this, maybe by the end of the season I'll figure out if I'm okay with it.

Its kinda the whole been there done that...and Spike being a good guy!!!! I don't like it so much, its seems to me that he has just taken over from Angel..hes the one that Buffy always goes to when she is in trouble or when Dawn has gone missing! ![]() | |

just saw this one -- and <gah> is about all i can say -- the Spike/Buffy follow-up was good - (the stuff at the beginning) - and their convo while looking for Rack's was pretty interesting (did Marti Noxon have help writing that? b/c she doesn't do so well writing Spike stuff) -- but - the Willow thing? 2 words - Lame-Much? (to snag a 'Sunny-phrase') Marti Noxon needs to learn the value of metaphor - which is what, i believe, Willow's *addiction* was supposed to be - not a flat out - *smack the audience in the face or they won't get it* addiction - i think that 99.9999% of the fans would have understood if there had been a more subtle approach to it all -- Generally, i watch the episodes 2x's - this one wasn't worth it, except to fast-forward through to the stuff w/ Spike and Buffy - b/c at least THAT was interesting -- "...I might bite you." although, i think that Rack's place was only 'magically' hidden so that Buffy would need Spike to help her find it - which she ended up not needed Spike for anyway b/c Willow and Dawn weren't there anymore -- but honestly - this looked like a bad DARE (kiddie drug program in the US) video to me ---

you don't know? then thank your lucky stars - i dunno who she would equate to in the UK - (or anywhere else for that matter) - but she's this designer/decorator person and she apparently lives on the most abundantly productive stretch of land in the universe - b/c she access to all kinds of things - and she grabs twigs and sticks and berries and leaves and makes stuff to decorate your home with - centerpieces and chandeliers and whatnot - she's annoying as anything -- acts like all her projects are these little 2-minute things that anyone can do b/c we all live on this same piece of abundantly productive land -- she made a gingerbread house once and acted like it was the simplest thing in the world - like you could just wave a wand and say a magic word and <poof> instand gingerbread house - i'm sure she has a website - think it's www.marthastewart.com - oh - and she's got her own line of home interiors items - like bed sheets and bath towels - in these obnoxious pastel colors and she smirks like she's God's gift to interior design -- can ya tell i like her a lot? <big snarky sarcastic grin inserted here>

yeah - she was - Martha Stewart is a witch -- all those 'working mom' types, and even some 'stay at home moms' and 'homemakers' think so -- why? b/c they don't have the abundant yard to grab all that stuff - so eh - they just do something else - however --- still thought this episode was rather bland and way to 'in your face' w/ the addiction thing --- don't like that --

Wow, I must have been one of the only ones not to mind the drug analogy, then . I also liked the foreshadowing of Dark/Evil Willow in this episode, when Willow kills the demon and her eyes are jet black . Unlike most here, though, I wasn't too keen on the Spike/Buffy relationship here or elsewhere.
