Yep, that is Agent Smith, Hugo Weaving.

He also played Tick Belrose in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.

If you listened, he sounded the most like Agent Smith durning the Council of Elrond, when he said, "The ring must be destroyed." The 'destroyed' part had a definate Agent undertone.

We can use this thread to talk about pop-ups like this--

Éomer and Celeborn were BOTH on Xena: Warrior Princess. Éomer was Julius Caeser. Celeborn was the dude Xena was in love with when she was in China (not Lao-ma, the guy with the dreads)

Dunno if this fits in here, but Ian Holm, who played Bilbo, is also doing the voice of Bilbo in the radio adaptation thats coming on soon.
