Big mistake in this series:

MUTANT POWERS CAN NOT MANIFEST BEFORE THE EARLY TEEN YEARS.

This show has shown lil kids with powers, and mentioned that the members had their powers as kids...that's total bull. Mutant abilities remain dormant untill around puberty, and only surface when the person has some intense emotional/fearful moment.

Mutant X is not like X Men where the powers lay dormant until adolecence. Mutant X mutants where geneticlly altered to fix some abnormality or illness. The ages run from infant to adult. They were not born with their powers. In this show it is in the time of "cloning" when you can fix anything that is wrong with you, and the result of the gene splicing is in some cases a "New Mutant" not an X Men.

While I do understand that, this series does in fact have the name of a Marvel "X book". If they wanted to be seperate from the Marvel rules on mutants, they should have chozen a title that is not only origional, but does not use the letter X.

Star power of the name.

marvel is in desperate need of funds. A marvel comic costs more than marvel stock. Which i last tracked at around a dollar.

So they are planing to overexposed the X trademark anyway they can. also their was a comic book series called new mutants they lasted a hundred issues. Shalamar closy resembles Wolfsbane and Feral from that group. I also think it's weird that emma of the show has the exact powers of the White Queen AKA Emma Frost.

Interesting ZachWZ, your right about the cost of the comic books, in my area the last X-Men I bought was $2.50.

So I can see why they want to capitalize on the name. Kids don't buy many comics since they have x-box, game boy etc. why read it when you can play it!

One of the X books is now called "New X-Men", and there is a series called "Mutant X" that had been around for mpre than a year before the show came along.

There was another show called "Mutant X" before the show that is on now, with the same title? What area did it come on and when did it start, who starred in it?

You misunderstood...there is a comic book series called "Mutant X" put out by Marvel, which has nothing at all to do with any of the events of this show. This show is a baltant ripoff of the comic's name, and is also a direct connection to Marvel's rules for mutants. If the producers of this show truely wanted to do their own take on mutants, they should have severed the link by creating a title that is actually origional, and not already asociated with another existing mutant series.

spider, it can't be a ripoff if it's something that is sanctioned by Marvel...:wink2:

Mutant X is cool, the series should be seen as an entity in its own right, with marvels sanction. Its about time we had sommit on our screens even remotely like it...give it a chance and don't go watching it with a narrow lens...broaden it a little and see it for what it is....with time, it will improve....

aby...a fan
