Snape, I'm set to agree with you on the Legolas thing I liked him in the book, too, though. He was a character that I could really get into when he came into play.Gandalf comes in VERRRRRRRRRRRY close second. He always reminded me of Zifnab, just a bit more cognizant of his surroundings (but who says Zifnab wasn't aware, mearly presenting a ruse?). From the long beard, gray robe, and mousy bent hat, he reeks of Zifnab. That gave me an immediate like to him ![]()

Zifnab? Ok, legolas is so fit, i'm trying so hard to get a Legolas avvy, but it's always either too big, the wrong shape or just really dark so you cant see his lovely face!

<snort> Snape and I happen to like old Long-up-to-here-legs. Zifnab, a wizard from the "Deathgate Cycle" series of books. He's a bit ditzy. He forgets what he was doing, argues with his dragon, makes vague references to the 20th century (you have to read the books to understand it better).. he's just a cool wizard.

Gandalf is standing on top of an outcropping of rock. Either that, or the snow compacted after the avalanche. If that was the case, it would explain why EVERYONE was able to stand on top of the snow. Of, der... Standing on snow is the easy part, it is the walking that gets ya. Since he is human (even a super powerul wizard) he is too heavy to walk on snow. Legolas, OTOH, being an elf, is light enough to tread on snow. A difference between book and movie-- In book, he runs over the snow. In movie, he walks. Anyways, Gandalf couldn't walk on the snow, thus, he DIDN'T walk on the snow.
