Reading the trilogy

When I first started to read LOTR, I stopped reading it and put it down after the first chapter, I had no idea what I was missing. But i forced myself to continue and haven't looked back.

My bro tried to get me to read the book but (as an ignorant 12 yr old) i thought cos the book was so big it would be boring! I made a deal with my bro - If I read LOTR he would have to read Northern Lights (and LIKE it!) So i started to read, but got a bit bored around Bilbos party. One non-eventful camping trip later i was bored and had no other books to read so i carried on reading. It was the best thing that has ever happened to me and i'm still chasing after my bro to read Northern Lights!
