A Game Of Thrones: The Movie

If they were to make a film of George RR Martin's works, which actors do you think would be perfect for the various roles?

How about Ronny Corbett for the role of Tyrion? A little make up here and there.....

I'll just be a bit of rules lawyer and move this to the GRR Martin board - not least, ebcause it'll get more attention from G RR Martin fans.

It's not a case of that - there are simply a lot of boards here.

Anyway - back to the original question, though.

Re: A Game Of Thrones: The Movie

I think if they wanted to make a movie , even an animated version they should use amateurs that have not had appearences on hot films. They need to bring more actors into the question.

We can only prey they will make a movie..........
lord knows all of us want one.

Would any established names really fit the bill, though? Any room for the Fiennes and Fords of this world in that?

Re: A Game Of Thrones: The Movie

I think that LOTR would have been better in animation format, in the style of Shrek or those animated bible stories. A Song of Ice and Fire is filled with so much drama and strong human characters that it could only be made into either an epic film series or a Television series. I firmly believe that this series is perfect for dramatisation.

I agree that it would make a great series, but you know they would never get it right.

Re: A Game Of Thrones: The Movie

Actually, I think there are quite a few actors who'd fit the physical looks of the characters...only most of them are 15 years too old...

Examples:

Brian Blessed - Robert Baratheon
Jerry Hall - Cersei (like I said, maybe 15 years ago)
Michael Wincott as Bron...

Guy of Gisbon as Bran? There is a bloke who I look after at work who could play Hodder. He has a growth disorder and he is dumb as hell. Probably get into to trouble for writing that. Brian do not reveal any of my details to the authorities.

Not Bran, he's a baby, Bron, Tyrion's mercenary...he's just the right sort of SOB to play a role like that...

Re: A Game Of Thrones: The Movie

When you sya animation do you mean like the crappy disney movies?

I think it should be done up like anime. It'd be really difficult to show some scenes because current law forbids some of it. and if you are going to be that true to the books, it'll have an 18 or X rating.

No, the only way i think it could be pulled of is through anime. get some of hte top names in anime and have them make it. like the creator of GitS and Ninja Scroll(if they aren't the same ppl :P) This way, you can everything that is in the book in the movies

But it would be neat to see a live action of it
