| Re: A Game Of Thrones: The Movie I don't think it would work as animation...I keep thinking of Cersei and Barbie Rapunzel pops into my head every time ...It would be cool if they could get the cash together and do a really long TV series like they did Xena and Hercules...it would be a much better story in any case... |

But if they could get decent effects and a proper cast, not Lucy Lawless and the guy from Andromeda (I blocked out the name when I saw the acting...), that's the sort of thing I'd like to see...

| Re: A Game Of Thrones: The Movie Thank goodness for Jacksons' LOTRs so now New Zealand can be known for something other than the place where they filmed Xena and Hercules! The lead character from the 'Station Agent' would be able to play Tyrion... The hardest thing about casting would be getting all the family resmblences to make sense. |

| Re: A Game Of Thrones: The Movie I'm not convinced that a movie adaption of Song of Fire and Ice would work - there are too many characters and sub-plots to do any kind of justice to it as a film - or even film series, IMO. What might work is if you took the "outside" characters and made individual films for them. For example, one for Jon, another film for Daenerys. The whole Kings Landing plot involing the Starks, Lannisters, and Baratheon's, would probably be too much, though. Important aspects would probably have to give, leaving an unsatisfactory image. |

| Re: A Game Of Thrones: The Movie Well, of course you could always just do films of certain parts, because it is a very complex storyline. Maybe just Dany's part, thats pretty much unaffected by any of the others... (Erikson is doing this, making a film of just the Chain of Dogs part of Deadhouse Gates...) |

| Re: A Game Of Thrones: The Movie Bana would make an excellent Eddard, but a better John Snow. But Viggo would be great for Snow too. And who better for Red Viper than Vin Deisel? Gotta have a movie though. No cheesy series or animated crap. Last edited by n8smitty; 2nd February 2005 at 03:40 AM. Reason: must edit now |

| Re: A Game Of Thrones: The Movie There should not be a movie made. Movies never seem to do justice to the books. If a movie did come out, I would not watch it until the entire series is finished... if I did watch it at all. |

Having said that, I don't think it should be made into a movie or series either...there is just to much that would have to be left out.
