Yet to see it? basic plot line..... Krull (1983) Reviews range from one extreme to the other, and most people found they either liked it or they didn't. The sound track however seems to be a lot more popluar. The indescribable monster and its army the Slayers attack the planet Krull. To be able to stop the invaders two hostile nations decide to join their forces by the marriage of Princess Lyssa and Prince Colwyn. During the ceremony the Slayers attack the palace, kill both kings, wound Colwyn and kidnap Lyssa. At the next morning the wise Ynyr seeks and finds Colwyn. With Ynyr's help Colwn gains possession of a magic weapon the five blade sword and together they go on their quest for the indescribable monster's black fortress to free Lyssa.

Name of this Movie I need help remembering the name of a movie. I know it had a lady in a web, who controled time through a hourglass. She gave up her baby at birth. During the course of the movie she broke the hourglass and her and her lover where eaten by a giant spider. I know it was a movie about a group of people on a quest for something. It contained magic and lots of special effects.

Re: Name of this Movie Sounds (at least in large part) like Krull. Francesca Annis played the Widow of the Web: Krull (film - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) Not what one could call a truly great film, but nonetheless sadly underrated, IMO. Flawed (at times quite seriously), but with some magnificent stuff, and some sterling performances... and I've always found it has a fair amount of genuine movie magic....

Re: Name of this Movie Wiki seems to be doing that a lot recently - for some reason it misses the last ) from a hyperlink. I think JD's right about it being Krull, though, and he's definitely right about it being underrated. ![]()
