Snape is a good guy I think. But a reason he favours Slytherins is maybe because Dumbledore does favour the gryffs a bit doesn't he. As well that he used to be a Slytherin. Also Voldie refers to one of them as one who is lost from him forever. Guessing thats Snape so I think he turned from him for good but will probably try to turn back again as a spy for bumblebee. Also there is a chance of him trying to reform Draco, dunno if he'll succeed or not but he does favour him. I just hope its not just so he can get closer to his father cos I prefer the dynamic the first way.

Snape. Rocks. And Rickman is great as the part, even if his voice is different- in a good way- that I had pictured Snape. Asmiley I heard an interesting counter to yours: Think about their ages. Snape wasn't really that old when Voldie came to power: he isn't likely to have been part of his inner circle. He did, however, give his hand away to Voldie in TPS (TSS) when he went after Quirrel, but it could be interpreted as "Im out for number one"ism. And why would he approach Quirrel if he thought he was going for the philosopher's stone? there's a strong argument to say that he acts his way, ie so severe, because he thinks that people need to learn discipline and not be so head-strong, proud and senselessly take risks. But then, you're looking at a rabid Snape fan who will be very upset of a certain Rowling doesn't write her Snape the way she wants And my argument was totally poorly put, I apologise.

I can't believe that Snape's all bad. In every book it seemed like he was the bad guy, and he never really was, he usually saved Harry instead, or tried to. Maybe he made an unbreakable vow with Dumbledore, or someone, to say that he can never hurt/kill Harry?
