I voted 8 because I just finished watching videos of most of it over and over and over again. (Sadly the library wants them back! ) It is so hilarious! Makes me laugh every time! A lot of classic Dwarf in them.

Season 6 is a very close second and then season 3.

How to choose? I'll just have to work my own way through them again, too, just to be sure.

Yeah, season 1 has some good ones in it. I just saw "Waiting for God" again not too long ago. I forgot how funny that one was. And what a total gimboid Rimmer was and total slob Lister was at the very beginning. Wish they'd show it here! Sigh......

i just watched the ep with the sadistic android who wants to rip peoples heads of and spit down their throats

Has to be SEries 8 for me because you had that brilliant Rat Arsed joke at the beginning & the humour just got better as the series progressed!
