Re: Creating religions

Always delighted to help out, Michael, and welcome aboard, by the way!

That plot device in the Lackey book parallels many real practices - Frazer's Golden Bough really is my primary source for all my religious/mythical speculations (http://www.bartleby.com/196/) but I think it still holds good. Although I would love to hear of more recent works of comparative religion studies too.

Sounds good to me! And welcome to the chronicles-network, Michael.

And glad you like the apocrypha - now collecting the Old Testament works for that site.

Thanks, I, Brian. I've been wanting to find that stuff for a long time (Old Testament Apocrypha). I've heard so much about Adam's first wife and the war in Heaven and I just can't stop obsessing over it.

I need a fix! Cable educational channels just don't do it anymore.
