Haha, exactly the same for me. I've never bought anything from Amazon, so my book arriving in a big exciting cardboard box only made it more fun to rip open.
I'm not sure how I prefer my books, new and shiny or affectionately dogeared and creased, but this book is gonna go through both stages!
